Great piece of hardware but I could not use it with my "Antique" Audio/Video system. Returned it without a hassel.
Customer Review: This is not true HDMI
HDMI is supposed to carry both video AND audio signals. This receiver carries only video, non included opticla coax is required for DVD player and optional optical digital calbe is required to crry sat TV, only the video is carried throught the HDMI - very misleading spend a few more bucks and get the audio with the video.

Battery does not clip in all that positively but other than that works fine - compared to the Canon unit this is a steal :)

At first, it did not appear to have a charging light, so it took me a while to realize that it was DOA, not charging the battery.
